The Ancient Future of Storages is a project that first originated from the question of whether a modern food storage system that relies on refrigerators is sustainable. Apart from today’s food storage system in which electricity is essential, we propose a more sustainable and coexistent way of life by using energy sourced from nature. We built three alternative storages for this project: the vegetable storage, the low temperature storage (solar energy cooler), and the solar food dryer. Through this project, we expect that the old wisdom and diversity of storing food could be once again revived in our kitchens.
